Cash back is only earned on eligible Net Purchases. Net Purchases are Purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are eligible for cash back, such as Advances, Balance Transfers and Convenience Checks. Upon approval, see your Cardmember Agreement for details. Account must be open and current (no past due Minimum Payment) on the closing date of the billing cycle in order to earn and redeem cash back. Purchases qualify for Cash back based on how merchants choose to classify their business and we reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify. A Purchase will not earn cash back if the merchant’s category code is ineligible. You will earn 3% cash back for every $1 of the first $4,000 spent annually on Purchases classified as insurance, starting with your January statement and 1% cash back after that. Annually is defined as the period of time starting with your January statement (which may include transactions made in December) and running through your December statement (which may not include all transactions made in December). You will earn 2% cash back for every $1 spent on Purchases at merchants classified as gas stations, electric vehicle charging stations, restaurants, fast-food restaurants, bars, grocery stores, food delivery services and drug stores. You will earn 1% cash back for every $1 on all other eligible Purchases. Purchases at or delivery from discount/retail stores that sell groceries may not qualify for the grocery store or grocery delivery category. Cash back is redeemed in the form of a statement credit or a deposit made to a savings or checking account, or as a U.S. Bank Rewards Card ($25 minimum redemption). Subject to applicable law, cash back rewards will expire at 11:00 p.m. Central Time at the end of the calendar quarter, that is three (3) years from the date on which they were earned.
